Welcome to www.BarnetFootballHistory.Bravehost.com the Barnet F C History website by Steve Wilmott.  This site has been transfered from www.sdwcnn.supanet.com to allow for further updates.

This is a record of just some of the Barnet F C`s history. No doubt there is plenty more waiting to be re-discovered.

Detailed results and information can be found on the increasingly impressive Supporters Association site. Also check Tony Rayners great site (see link)

Therefore I have concentrated mainly on the very early stuff not generally available elsewhere, together with photos where possible.

I will add more pages in the future. If you have any ideas for another page please e-mail me.

Unfortunately the early history is notoriously complex and errors on other sites are common. I have tried to be as accurate as possible and believe the info contained here to be correct.

Whilst its important that details of the past are preserved, they would mean little if the present club were not successful and are allowed to develop Underhill into an acceptable Football league ground.

the club have finally made progress (March 2008) with a new south stand and, whilst still looking for a new site, are at least guaranteed their Football League status (dependent on their not getting relegated of course!)

No, not Barnet Councils latest ground location idea, but a print from 1765 showing men playing football in the High Street Barnet.  On the right is the Mitre (still there) and the Red Lion on the left (also still there but under an assumed name)

If you have any comments or if you have a question about BFC`s history I will try to help. Please email here.   email
